CAUTION!!!!!!!!!
Soldering irons are hot and can burn! They can also ruin this project. You must have a steady hand!
Step 1: Unscrew the back off of the controller and remove the back.
Step 2: Cut the green insulation off.
Step 3: Cut the red wire in half and strip the 2 ends.
Step 4: Take your wire and cut 2 pieces and strip the ends.
Step 5: Make and extension wire for the red wire by soldering the wire to the red wire. We taped my wires together.
Step 6: Tape up all the rest of the wires.
It should kind of look like this.
Step 7: Solder the extension wires to the leads on the switch labeled "1" and "2" (one wire goes to lead "1" and one wire goes to lead "2")
Step 8: Using your coping saw cut a rectangular hole to fit the switch. You may have to shave off the top part of controller. Don't make the hole too big. Cut it the size and use needle nose pliers to pull the cut piece of plastic off. Sand it down after.
Step 9: Put everything back together fitting the switch in the hole. Don't force anything to go back in.
